Cambridge Upper Secondary Program (IGCSE)
Grades: 9th & 10th
The IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) program at RIS, administered by CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Examinations), offers a challenging and exciting two-year curriculum for students in Grades 9 and 10. While maintaining an international outlook, the program retains local relevance and ensures students are well-prepared for pre-university studies through a holistic and experiential approach to learning.

- Stimulating Classroom Environment: Fosters high levels of student engagement and supports discussion-based learning and hands-on activities.
- Preparatory Year (Grade 8): Students study subjects like First Language English, Hindi or French as a Second Language, History, Geography, Sciences, Mathematics, Economics, and Environmental Management, along with co-curricular activities in Music, Dance, Yoga, Karate, Art, and Drama.

Grading and Certification
- ICE (International Certificate of Education) is awarded with Distinction, Merit or Pass.
- Distinction: Grade A or better in five subjects and grade C or better in two subjects.
- Merit: Grade C or better in five subjects and grade F or better in two subjects.
- Pass: Grade G or better in seven subjects.
- Individual subjects are graded A* to G, with A* being the highest.
